I Did It . . .

I have been wanting to cut my hair for Locks of Love and my hair was finally long enough to do it. My long hair was really wearing on my nerves so I was ready to do it. I was really nervous though but I really like it. I don't think my hair has ever been this short so it's kinda weird, but it is all worth it knowing I did it for a purpose.

Now on to Easter . . . My parents came for Easter and we all just hung out and went shopping. Of course I had to get my hair cut into the schedule on Saturday, but it was mostly shopping. We saw "Horton Hears a Who" at Studio Movie Grill, and we thought it would be appropriate to take pictures while we were waiting for the movie to start. They loved us there. Then on to Sunday morning, Nathan and I matched in green thanks to Tawnya.

My dad wanted my mom to dance with him in the theater, but she wouldn't do it.

And now one of everyone at the movie theater. (You would've thought we had never been to a movie.)

Then we had to take one outside so even more people could witness just how crazy we are.

Here's a fun one with Pastor Kevin.

Call me Lieutenant Clardy . . .

I just wanted to take a minute and share a praise with everyone. On friday, Nathan found out he has been accepted into the Navy Chaplain Candidate Program. Nathan will be commissioned as a Lieutenant and so he says we will all have to call him "Lieutenant Clardy" ;)

We are so excited and thankful because from the beginning of this process we have asked God to show us if this is what he wants for us. We asked him to close the doors if this is not what he wanted for us and there were so many hoops to jump through and steps to go through that we just know it was only God that brought us this far. He could've closed the door at any point in this process, and we are just thankful he hasn't. It's just cool to see that he has a plan for our future together and to think about the possibilities of ministry.

Thank you to all of you who prayed for us during this time. If all goes as planned, Nathan will leave on May 19th to train in Rhode Island for 8 weeks. Please continue to pray for us during this time. Although we are excited about this new journey, we are unsure about what lies ahead.

Birthdays and Valentines

I have been a bit negligent of my blog. So I have some pictures from Nathan's birthday, Valentine's Day, Tawnya's birthday and some other random shots. We didn't do anything too special for these events, but there are some good pictures.

I made Nathan a sopapilla cake. It looks weird, but it is really good (if I do say so myself).Teddy had to help Nathan open his presents. This is my Valentine's dinner that Nathan made for me. We used our Wedding China for the first time :)Okay, I have to explain this one. We have a hard time getting good pictures of Teddy because our camera flashes twice and he still hasn't figured it out. He's not camera-shy, he simply poses for the first flash and then turns away for the second flash. So this is the only decent one we've gotten of him recently, so enjoy because there won't be another one for a while. This a picture from Tawnya's Birthday. I forgot to take pictures so I snapped one real quick before they left.
It's kinda hard to see, but there is snow in this picture. This was Monday (3/3) night and it was really coming down hard. Of course school was not cancelled and when the real snow storm came through (3/6), we didn't get any snow. But I'm not bitter . . .

Please leave comments! We love to hear what you think or just to know that you dropped by :)
